Speaking at The Wellness Tourism Summit

Samantha speaking at The Wellness Tourism Summit

Sharing my thoughts with Janice and the summit attendees.

Last month I had the pleasure of attending The Wellness Tourism Summit in Tweed Heads recently as a speaker. The event was brought to us by Droga & Co this was Australia’s first Wellness Tourism Summit and it was incredibly pleasing to see so many attendees excited about the future of wellness travel.

Originally scheduled to take place before the pandemic it was also wonderful to see this event finally going ahead and the travellers of the world perhaps, in a more open space to consider the benefits of proactively seeking wellness travel. The start of the day was an opportunity to sample more of the wellness on offer in Tweed Heads with a Wake Up to Wellness activity, I took part in a breathwork session with Aro Ha co-founder Damian Chaparro, other options included outdoor Yoga Flow, Mindful Beach Walking, Bike Riding, Qigong, Meditation or a Beach Boot Camp.

On the panel discussing Consumer Trends for the Wellness Traveller, I was joined by Celeste Mitchell, Life Unhurried, Casey Beros, Health Journalist Well Traveller TV and Janice Williams, Wellbeing Magazine discussing consumer trends for the wellness travellers and we all agreed that now is the time to accept that wellness travel is here to stay, improving the lives of all who undertake them.

Droga & co have also been busy creating a magnificent website www.welltraveller.com.au to help travellers discover wellness travel experiences across Australia and the day was jam packed full of insights and ah-ha moments.

Wellness travel is no longer seen as niche. Wellness experiences are being demanded by consumers worldwide
