Kamalaya features two al fresco restaurants, Amrita is open for lunch only and Soma serves breakfast and dinner. Here they embracing a philosophy of nourishment that goes beyond restriction. Meals are crafted to promote healthy eating habits, and guests are guided and supported to make healthy lifestyle choices, but there are no strict rules and nothing is forced.

Service at Kamalaya begins with a personalised consultation, guiding each guest through a bespoke wellness journey. On top of the Wellness Sanctuary and Spa which is home to over 70 different treatments, the facilities include two swimming pools, thermal plunge pools, steam cabins, infrared sauna, yoga salas, meditation hall, a very well equipped fitness centre, functional fitness centre, Reformer Pilates studio and a dedicated space for contemporary supplementary therapies and treatments that are designed to support healthy ageing and a better quality of life, Longevity House.

Kamalaya at a Glance

Best Time to Visit: The best time to head to Thailand is between December and April when the weather is warm but dry, however you can visit all year round and in the low season in June there is a special offer you can take advantage off.

When is the rainy season for Koh Samui: The rainy season for Koh Samui is from late October to December.

Getting There: Kamalaya is located on the South Eastern side of the tropical island of Koh Samui. We are approximately 25 kms, about a 45 minute drive, from Koh Samui airport.

Number of Rooms: 76 rooms and villas

Check-in/Check-out: Check in is from 2pm and check out is at 12pm however there are facilities available if you prefer to spend the afternoon by the pool before a later departure.

Wi-Fi: All guestrooms come with complimentary WiFi. There is also complimentary 24-hour internet access in the Library and you are welcome to use one of the available computers. However, WiFi is intentionally weak in all public areas and mobile phones, laptops and other digital devices, except e-books, cannot be used.

Children: The facilities and services at Kamalaya are designed for adults who seek the time, place and expertise to improve their wellbeing. Kamalaya is not recommended for infants and children and there are no child concessions available, and no special facilities or services offered. However, it is possible subject to availability and some special conditions, please ask us for more details.

Alcohol and Coffee: Coffee is available however may not be recommended depending on your program. And while you won’t see wine on the menu, Kamalaya does offer a selection of fine wines with health properties and low alcohol content.

Exploring the Surrounding Area: Kamalaya offers regular cultural activities and events to celebrate Thai festivals and holidays. Weather dependent, they also offer a scheduled weekly boat trip aboard the magical 30-metre wooden Turkish Ketch, for an afternoon of cruising around the Southern Coast of Koh Samui and the beautiful neighbouring Islands of Koh Mudsum and Koh Tan.
